Hybrid Bookmobiles

This blog on bookmobiles is really fun to skim  (bikemobiles- bikebrarians, floating libraries, big rig libraries, etc) But what caught my eye was the recent post on hybrid bookmobiles. According to the blog, Mendocino County CA had the first hybrid bookmobile in Feb 2012 – a diesel/electric and solar panels, and is  50% more efficiently that its predecessor (more here). Then Rochester, MN had the next hybrid with solar panels, LED lights and recycled floors saying $3000/year in operating costs.
